The Centurions are a group of heroes of different origins that gathered up in Boston, where their real identities are trapped in a powerless reality. These warriors used to belong to entities such as the X-Men, Avengers, Thor Corps, etc. and have since joined efforts and resources to both track down the source of what's trapping them in this reality, as well as to deal with immediate threats. They also aim to recruit and welcome new shifters who might be in need of instruction.

Base of operations: Bloodstone Manor • Boston, MA

F.A.Q.s

What are the Centurions?
The Centurion Task Force is a covert ops branch of Trailblazer Corps. This branch is an original group created within the ~lineart universe, to rally up heroes of different origins in a fun and interactive environment. Much like the active canon groups in the game (such as X-Men, Avengers, Birds of Prey, etc.), the Centurions have come together out of shared interest and necessity to keep their members and human kind alike safe from dangers and threats unique to this new universe they inhabit.

What do they stand for?
The Centurions align with heroes. Their mission is to keep mankind and all life forms safe and the order of the universe intact.

Who can join?
Any character in the ~lineart universe is welcome to join. As the group aligns with the heroes agenda, there is a process to assess the true intentions of new members. Given the nature of the game, the CV identity won't necessarily dictate aligment. CV villains are more than welcome to join, as long as their in-game alignment matches the group's.

Can my villain infiltrate the group?
We all know some villains are super tricky, so of course double-agent lines are welcome here. We do ask, however, that the intention to pursue this line be made clear ooc in the plotting stages to all members that it would involve, so that everyone's on the same page.

How does the group fit in with mod plot?
The Centurions follow the gamewide plot provided by the mods every CV week. On CV weeks where gamewide plot is quiet, the group will pursue their own plot. But when there is mod plot, the Centurions will engage fully with that. The intention is to make it easier for characters outside of the main canon groups to interact and rally up their powers and resources to their full potential as a team.

Can I be in more than one group?
Of course! The Centurions work as a joint task force, so it is assumed that most members will be affiliated with canon groups. The intention of the group is to pool resources and offer a place for all characters to interact. As such, members are free to choose which plot to engage with each CV week. They could choose to be with their canon group or go off on their own one month and join the Centurions the next for one plot or another. It's up to you.

Where do they operate?
The team's headquarters is at the Bloodstone manor (pictured above). The grounds are being prepared to host the group's activities. A detailed description of the manor layout will be available soon.

How do they operate?
The Centurions' structure is horizontal. There are no designated commanders. Leadership roles will likely be situational and develop organically within the different plots. The main idea is that everyone is an equal and has equal say on the direction the plot goes.

What do they do?
Centurions is a new group, so a lot of what they do happens organically as the team gets to know each other and how everyone operates. Meaning, we're still working out the kinks and details, but the main mission of Centurions involves the following:

  • Tracking down first-time shifters & recruitment;
  • Supporting and providing necessary info to new shifters who are still confused about what's happening and not in control of their powers;
  • Providing training facilities and lessons for development of powers and abilities with more experienced instructors;
  • Fundraisers to cover expenses and further research and resources for the group;
  • Forming a combat group to handle immediate threats.

Joining Centurions

Membership

As stated above, any member of ~lineart is welcome in Centurions, as long as they affiliate with the heroes side of things. CV villains who are neutral or switched to the side of good are also welcome to join. Of course evil villains may also join under the guise of being good! However, if your intention is to pursue a double-agent line and infiltrate Centurions for evil purposes, we ask that it be made clear OOC before the plot is put into action, so no one is blindsided!

How to join

As Centurions is an in-character initiative, recruitment is done through IC devices. There are a few ways for your character to join Centurions:

1. Trailblazer Corps: As you know, Trailblazer Corps is an adventure provider company. Though it is a front organization that funds the covert ops of Centurions, Trailblazer is an actual corporation with offices in Boston. As it is a new company, they're hiring personnel in all areas. A job at Trailblazer could be the IC connection to hearing about Centurions, as several members work there and are attuned to the signs of someone going through the shift.

2. Outreach projects: As part of its recruitment strategy, Centurions have a blog about the shifts, kind of a "life hack" of the shifts. They have also started to set up workshops and lectures relating to the topics that come up during the shifts. "Is there someone else in my head?" "Migraines and voices" "Humans and superpowers, is it real?" If your character is going through the shifts, they could attend any of these lectures or workshops and either get in touch through email or sign the presence list of these events. The Centurions Outreach Team will come find your character and provide explanations about the group and the shift.

3. Exhibiting powers and super abilities: Centurions surveillance is active and monitoring the police network, as well as public street cameras. If your character exihibits powers in a visible way, Centurions could track them down to fill them in and bring them into the midst if the player so wishes. Details can be plotted out or played out to become IC canon.

4. Word of mouth: This is the tactic Centurions have been using so far and it's one that works well! All the current Centurions members are listed on the left. If your character knows any of them and would like them to be the contact into joining the organization, please reach out to their player.roa All Centurions are able to recruit new members and their players are friendly and awaiting your contact to join us!

Signing up: If none of these strategies work for your character, but you want them to join, please let us know and we'll work out another IC way for them to join the group! Go here to join.
